Flynt Porn Pictures Going Too Far

Friday 11/14/2003

Welcome to my world. As you have probably figured out by now, I don't agree with all the attention given Army clerk Jessica Lynch by the liberal media. Yes, her situation was unfortunate, but not all that uncommon in battle. She is not a super heroine and she readily admits that. She has been used and abused by the media to sell papers, magazines, and TV advertising. Then, on the other hand, it doesn't seem like she's turning down any of the money or shying away from publicity. But I think it's gone too far, especially now that we have dirtbag pornographer Larry Flynt, the publisher of Hustler Magazine, claiming to have purchased nude photos of Lynch taken with Army men before she was deployed to Iraq. He won't say who sold him the salacious photograpy but says he probably won't put them in Hustler because she's a good kid. First of all, the pages of his show us your pink porn rag are full of good kids who needed money or were otherwise victimized. I'm no prude and I admit to buttoning the blues on a Playboy foldout or two, but Flynt's magazine even disgusts me. Flynt, one of a multitude of California gubernatorial recall candidates last month, says Lynch was just a victim of the Bush Administration, using her to justify the war in Iraq by force feeding us a Joan of Arc. What the hell is this guy smoking? Then again, we probably know. Lynch won't confirm nor deny the photos, with her lawyer saying it's incredulous that anyone would think it appropriate to publish unauthorized photos of Jessica before she was deployed to Iraq, also not confirming or denying their existence. So what's the point? If Flynt has the naked pictures and isn't going to use them why say anything at all? Only one reason seems to make sense. Flynt like so many, especially California liberals, is going around the back door to bash President Bush over the war in Iraq by impuning the dignity of our fighting men and women. It'll backfire all over Flynt, as I see it ... I'm H.G. Listiak.
