Random thoughts day - California Recall

Friday 09/05/2003

Welcome to my world, where it's time for a few random thoughts. Looking at the People's Republic of California, one becomes confused as top Democrats favor Cruz Bustamante to be the Governor while at the same time they urge voters to say no to the recall, which would keep Governor Gray Davis in office. They can't have both and it gives the appearance of waffling. They aren't, however, waffling concerning Republican Arnold Swhwarzenegger, but what's funny here is that the more they sling mud his way and slime him, the better he looks in the polls. Another random thought concerns the left wing press bashing President Bush for offering to let U.N. peacekeepers help in Iraq. They call it a policy shift. I call it a smart move, as those peacekeepers could be used to fill gaps left by countries who failed to keep their promise of support. Since most of the current enemy in Iraq is actually terrorist groups from outside the country, this would force the U.N. to actually get involved in the war against Terrorism. If they say no to the President's offer they simply violate their own mandate and take another giant step toward oblivion, which in my opinion is where the dead world body belongs, either there or France. And one more random thought for the editors of Wednesday's U.S.A. Today: They have a photo caption that reads "Patriot Back Drop…Senator John Kerry in front of the the U.S.S. Yorktown Battleship". "Battleship" You dolts. The U.S.S. Yorktown just happens to be one of the most famous Aircraft Carriers in the history of naval aviation. The U.S.A. Today lib writers can't even get that right, as I see it…I'm H.G. Listiak.
